Last Day to Register or Change Party – Monday, August 1, 2016

Today, Monday August 1, is the day we officially call Book Closing Day. This phrase is derived from the old precinct register books that contained the official list of registered voters for each precinct.

Book Closing Day is the last day for a new voter in Florida to register to vote for the August 30th Primary Election in Florida. It is also the last day to do a party change and have it effective for the primary.

The Leon County Supervisor of Elections Office has extended hours at two locations to serve the voters:

New Leaf Market, Apalachee Parkway 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM or

LeRoy Collins Main Public Library, 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM or

Or you can stop by one of our offices from 8 AM – 5:30 PM:

Leon County Supervisor Of Elections Office
315 South Calhoun Street, Suite 110
Tallahassee FL 32301

Leon County Voting Operations Center
2990 Apalachee Parkway
Tallahassee FL 32301

Please take advantage of this opportunity to have your voice heard. Vote August 30th. Note: Early Voting starts August 20. Vote By Mail ballots are available now.

For more information, visit the Leon County Supervisor of Elections webpage, or call 850-606-8683.
